The Best Hidden Gem – Villa Minda San Teodoro Sardinia
Ciao belli! Hello beautiful people! If you have been following me, you know that this summer our big summer trip was going back to Italy! My husband is Italian and I use to live in Italy and we had not been home in 2 years and so it was a great to be back. We visited some of the same cities which never gets gold such as Rome, Milan and Calabria where my husband is from. I will have travel guides for each soon. But we did visit one area that was new for the both of us which was Sardinia Italy and we stayed at a beautiful bed & breakfast called Villa Minda Bed & Breakfast San Teodoro Sardinia which I will be reviewing in this post. Check out my YouTube video review below! Isn’t it just GORGEOUS!?
THE ISLAND OF SARDINIA ITALY
Sardinia, Italy is a beautiful Italian island off the west coast of Italian. It is famous for the beautiful beaches and water and glam cities Costa Smeralda and Porto Cervo. We decided to stay in a beautiful little town on the east side of the island called San Teodoro Sardegna or Sardinia in English. This is where we stayed a beautiful little bed and breakfast that I highly recommend called Villa Minda Bed & Breakfast!
The views that you get from this hotel is incredible and it made me think of our hotel we stayed in Kefalonia Greece which you can read about here. If you have been following me for awhile, you know I always find hidden gems when it comes to hotels that are beautiful but won’t put a hole in your wallet either. We had wonderful stay in San Teodoro Sardegna at Villa Minda Bed & Breakfast and this is definitely a hidden gem!
VILLA MINDA SAN TEODORO – THE LOCATION
Villa Minda is located in the perfect location for all the places that we wanted to see. I definitely recommend it for a base hotel when visiting Sardinia’s east cost beauties. When we decided that we wanted to visit the beautiful island of Sardinia, we first narrowed down what beaches we wanted to visit and what part of the island they were located.
The most famous ones were on the east side of the island such as Golfo di Oosei area where you find Cala Gonone. Also the east side is where you find the famous Porto Cervo and Costa Smeralda. Stay tuned for my Sardinia Travel Guide where I will discussing all the beautiful beaches and areas to visit when in Sardinia.
Also flying into Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport was cheaper than Cagliari airport. We found great deal on our one way flight from Rome here. It was about a 25 minute drive to Villa Minda. Villa Minda was not located far from the center of San Teodoro about 5 minutes where you find all the cute little shops and restaurants. It is not big town but it is nice little area where you can walk around and do some shopping. Villa Minda is also 5 minutes away by car from La Cinta beach too or you can walk about 15 minutes and arrive there.

VILLA MINDA SAN TEODORO – FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The views from Villa Minda were incredible! I remember when I stumbled across this bed and breakfast on Booking which is my primary site that I use for searching and booking hotels, I just knew this hotel had to be gorgeous. The beautiful blue sky and sea was incredible! Every corner you turned you always had that beautiful view! The grounds were kept very clean and I loved that it was full of different lounge areas to relax, enjoy wine or just read. The bed and breakfast had multiple levels. I guess you say about 4 levels- parking area, the level where many of the rooms were, a mid level where you had breakfast and then the rooftop lounge.
When we first arrived, we already felt like we were in little garden. It was nice and quiet with beautiful greenery and flowers everywhere. You smell all the flowers too. We were greeted at our car where they offered to help with our bags to our room. She was very nice and spoke good English too. She helped us with our itinerary with the short stay that we had and made some suggestions that was very helpful. So we ended up switching some of our activities around. She also recommended an AMAZING restaurant where we could enjoy a beautiful sunset as well called 12.1 Restaurant! Details will be on my Sardinia Travel Guide.
VILLA MINDA SAN TEODORO – BREAKFAST WITH A VIEW
Breakfast on the terrace was always so nice and relaxing! We were very fortunate to clear perfect weather during our time at the hotel. There are multiple tables on the terrace and we always chose our same table with this GOREGOUS VIEW! I am sure if we wanted we could have took our breakfast to one of the lounge areas and enjoyed it from other views at the villa.
At Villa Minda, your order and they would serve you the breakfast and bring it out to your table. The breakfast that they served was the traditional Italian breakfast which was good. There was an assortment of cheeses, meats, breads, jam, pastries, yogurt and juices. I absolutely LOVE their juice! It was very good! They also served cappuccino which my husband loved as well.
VILLA MINDA SAN TEODORO – THE ROOMS
We loved our sea view room which was on the 2nd level! From our sliding glass door we could see the blue sea! The room was very clean and bright with nautical décor. The A/C worked great as well as the free Wi-Fi that was both in our room and on the property. We had no problems connecting to the Wi-Fi. Our room was quite spacious with dresser drawer and closet to put our things in making us more comfortable.
The bed was very comfortable and lighting was good too which we always just used the outdoor lighting until it got dark. The bathroom was also a good size with both a toilet and bidet. The shower worked great and we got hot water with no problems. It was a sliding glass shower. They also provided soap and shampoo and clean towels as well. There were windows in the room one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom that you can crack open for air circulation. We always made sure we kept it closed closer to the evening time.
On our dresser, they had a book with information about the hotel and the amenities such as laundry service and things to do in the area which was quite helpful. The pricing is great too! You can get a room depending on the month as low as 60-70 euros a nice! What a steal with such a gorgeous view and prime location!
VILLA MINDA SAN TEODORO – ROOFTOP & LOUNGE AREAS
If you want to relax and enjoy the views, there are so many different lounge areas to choose from. My favorite is the rooftop deck! The view is so beautiful and there are lounge chairs available! There are also various cabanas on the property including one right in front of our room. Each of the cabana has books for you to choose from as well. There are various lounge chairs set up near the cabanas too so you can always find a little bit of privacy or get to know the other guests.
Noone was ever loud during our stay. We only saw adults to be honest. Also there was a glass table outside of our room where we could eat outside if you want as well. So if you want to work on your tan before headed to the beach this is the perfect spot to do so. At sunset it was really nice to enjoy the views from these lounges as well. Its so relaxing because it not by any busy streets or center so all you hear are the birds and wind.
I hope you decided to visit Sardegna Italy! If you do, definitely stay at the Villa Minda Bed & Breakfast in San Teodoro Sardegna! We had a wonderful stay and we will surely be back! Grazie mille per l’ospitalita!

Though I am an Italian Indian, Sardegna or Saradinia is very close to my heart. Personal reasons though. I am very glad that you thought it worthy to cover this place. And I loved the way you wrote about it. It melt my heart. ❤
I absolutely adored reading this so much!!! I would very much love having a holiday here someday!!!
What a lovely hotel that is maintained so well. Its size is conducive to being much more personal than larger properties that tend to be so impersonal. The location as well is just perfect with a view that is so stunning.
This looks like such a lovely place to stay. The views are incredible and the bed and breakfast seems so quaint and peaceful. I hope you had a lovely time indeed.
From the looks of it, you truly have found a gem in Sardinia. I could very easily see myself enjoying the rooftop views, delicious Italian breakfast, and tasteful bedroom decor. Oh, how I miss Italy!
