Style Collective: “Beautiful Minds Inspire Others”
So I am so excited to share with you all our 2nd Style Collective Dallas Meetup! We did our first meetup in August which you can read about here! This 2nd Style Collective meet up included more awesome #girbosses and it was a fall picnic theme at White Rock Lake! Style Collective is an online community of female #girlbosses who connect, encourage and grow together in this awesome sisterhood! In a world where everyone is taught to have a “me first attitude” and to be the best and be better than the person next to you, it is so refreshing to have a community of women that is willing to help, encourage and sincerely wants you to succeed because we all have the same goal – to be successful bloggers! This month is my 6 month anniversary of Foreign Fresh & Fierce Style blog! I can’t believe 6 months has already flown by! I felt that I have learned so much and grown so much as a blogger. A big part of that is being connected with wonderful bloggers to share tips and overall just INSPIRE and encourage one another. I have felt discouraged at different times during my months of blogging. In the area, I always see some many opportunities for influencers but it appears that the invites are exclusive. So at times I would feel like a b-class blogger when I am not invited to them. But a few bloggers of Style Collective were very supportive and reminded me that your success has nothing to do with what invites you receive or not. Eventually other people and brand will see what a great blogger that you are but we just have to remember to be patience. This really did help me through my “what the heck…what about me?!” moments in blogging! LOL
Having this group of Style Collective bloggers has been encouraging when other bloggers in the area seems to be non responsive. Reaching out to connect with well-established bloggers can be quite intimidating and takes a lot of courage. So on 4 different occasions when you hear crickets on very simple questions/inquiries/collaborations, it can be discouraging as well. But I am just going to keep on keeping on and know that even if I do not have the beautiful K behind my IG followers count yet, I know that I am a great blogger and others will be able to see that as well one day too! I always have to remind myself to be happy and proud of the accomplishments that I already have as blogger. Not many new bloggers can say that 95% of the collaborations that they have is because the brands found them and they did not have to go out chasing brands for collabs so this is something to be proud of! I have gotten to work with many big brands and small brands and I will continue to expand my blog to reach other areas such as Beauty and Fitness! Staying positive is the key!
Meet the Style Collective Girlbosses
