Luxury Dallas Staycation at Hotel Crescent Court

Hey everyone! I am excited to be featuring a local Dallas hotel for my staycation / daycation travel series! Dallas luxury Hotel Crescent Court is one of my favorite hotels in Dallas and yet this was the first time I actually got to stay at the hotel as a guest and experience all the things that makes this hotel so wonderful. I will be sharing with you what you can expect if you decide to have a staycation here or a daycation with a day pass.

LOCATION / GETTING HERE

The Hotel Crescent Court is located in one of my favorite areas of Dallas – Uptown area which is near downtown Dallas. If you are not local to the area and choose fly into Dallas, Hotel Crescent Court is about 20 minutes from the Dallas Fort Worth International airport (DFW) or 13 minutes from Dallas’ secondary airport Dallas Love Field (DAL).

Uptown Dallas is an area of Dallas full of many places to eat, drink and shop on the main street McKinney Ave which also has a free Trolley system for the area. The hotel is located right off of McKinney Ave too. Hotel Crescent Court is also very close to Klyde Warren Park and the Dallas Museum of Arts which you could get to by walking about 10 minutes too. There is also Victory Park area with more restaurants and shops that is about a 10 minute walk as well.

So the hotel is located within perfect walking distance to experience different things in Dallas, but there are many things that you can experience right here on the hotel’s property without ever leaving that I will be discussing more below.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

When you first pull up to the Hotel Crescent Court, you are greeted by valet and bellman all of which are practicing Covid-19 protocols with masks and gloves. You can choose to use their valet service or self-parking in the garage. Self parking garage is actually a separate company that handles self-parking and not the Crescent Court.

Upon walking in to the lobby, you will see hand sanitizer stations as well as everyone wearing masks including the front desk personal. There is actually a clear protector for check in too. I did love that fact upon check out there is a bowl for keycards to be disinfected in a solution.

Check-in was simple, quick and seamless. I loved that they had a separate station for coffee that a member of the hotel provided the service of making a cup of coffee for guests which was the first time I had seen this type of service at a hotel. Most hotels done away with coffee stations all together due to Covid-19 or have unmonitored coffee station in the lobby. There are also a special self cleaning elevator buttons and revolving door handles as well.

Back in 2018, the hotel did a big multi million dollar renovation and it can be clearly seen with the decor and the updated rooms and suites. If you are looking to be pampered luxury style, this is the hotel to stay at.

THE SPA AT THE CRESCENT

As I mentioned, Hotel Crescent Court has different amenities and services offered to their guest. One cool thing about it is you can experience it and not even be a staying guest on the property. Hotel Crescent Court is a luxury hotel that offers day passes or resort passes where you can experience all the amenities and services of the hotel like a normal guess for the day without actually booking a room. This is a great way to get a taste of a hotel. For more details on how day passes work, check out my post here.

Part of the renovation of the hotel was brand new Luxury Spa at the Crescent. The spa is open for booking for non guests, day pass holders and staying guests for all their services. So you don’t even have to purchase a day pass to enjoy the spa’s services or treatments. I had the privilege of getting a 50 min massage at the Spa. Upon check in, you sign a simple document related to Covid-19 and they take your temperature. Masks are required in this area.

When you enter in the Spa doors, you first enter in the Fitness Center. The hotel has gym with all the equipment and machines necessary for any workout. The bikes also have TVs in them so you can tune into the news or sports. On the lower lever is the actual spa which is separated by gender. There is one central area where both genders can mingle but there are separate doors for locker room and the lounge area.

I love the locker room area and bathrooms. Very luxury in style-white and gold accents! They provide you with a sanitized locker with robe and they ask for your shoe size and provide you with sterilized sandals. So you have everything you need to enjoy your spa experience. Fitness center open at 5:30am but as far as the Spa treatments it opens at 9am with treatments beginning at 10am.

At the spa, you do not necessarily have to have a treatment but you can enjoy the sauna, steam room and hydro therapy room. These rooms are open at 5am as well. Due the Covid, how many people in a room mare regulated. As far as my spa goes, you can wear your mask and the person who is doing your treatment is also wearing a mask. You will be required to wash your hands since there will be alot of touching and they wash your hands in front of you as well. It was a nice a relaxing massage in low lighting and soft music.

ROOMS & SUITES

The Hotel Crescent Court has 186 rooms and 40 suites. One of the things I absolutely love about the rooms ais the hallways that lead up to the rooms. It has the feel of luxury condo with the art and the blue illuminating room numbers on the doors. When a room has been cleaned, there is a special sticker that has been put on the door to indicate that it was cleaned and noone has been in there. Due to Covid, daily room cleaning has been suspended also to help eliminate the amount of different people in an out of the room. In general, this is the standard practice for all hotels in the country. If your room needs cleaning or you need additional towels or toiletries, you can request it however.

I was very impressed on how big our room was. You first have a long hallway leading to the main room. You already feel relaxed with this hallway itself. There is a separate corridor area between the hallway and the bathroom that I loved dedicated for closet space, the safe and the Nepresso coffee/tea station. I loved the fact that this was hidden behind contemporary style doors.

In general, the decor was modern with clean lines. The bathroom was bright and spacious with white and gold accents. I loved the fact that they carry Molton Brown London toiletries! It smells so good like perfume. The main room area had a comfy sofa area, desk area next to the large 55″ flat screen TV that swivels out of the wall so you can watch from the bed. The king size bed was very comfortable as well as the pillow. The window was floor to ceiling with the faux balcony that faces the entrance of the hotel giving it a nice luxury feel.

POOL TERRACE

The Hotel Crescent court also has an amazing pool on the 3rd level. I love hotels with upper level pools especially when they are located in the city center because you have the views of the surrounding buildings. Pool access is also granted to those who have day passes. I was impressed to see individually wrapped towels in plastic bags reducing the amount of people touching the towels. They also had complimentary SPF that you pump in a little ramekin cup which was nice since we forgot ours.

The pool area has some small tables for those who do not necessarily want to get in the water or sit on a lounge chair but just enjoy the area and read a book. And of course there are the lounge chairs under umbrellas. I loved the tropical feel of this pool with the pretty waterfall in the center and tropical plants. The pool is opened early in the morning and also serves light bites and drinks as well. There is a locker room area where there are bathrooms and shower with soap, shampoo and conditioner which is great option for day pass holders.

DINING OPTIONS

As far as food, there are dining options available on the property even during Covid. For breakfast, you could choose to have breakfast at the beautiful The Conservatory which faces the beautiful garden, Starbucks or order room service. We chose to have room services and had the food delivered to our room.

They do not enter your room but greet you at the door and we take the cart in the inside. The food and drinks are covered so no worry about the food being exposed along the way to your room. Breakfast was delicious!

For lunch and dinner options, I recommend getting a reservation at the Crescent Club located at the adjacent building of the hotel on the 17th floor! If you saw my Instagram stories, the view gives your NYC vibes with the view of downtown skyline especially at night when everything was lit up.

The Crescent Club is fine dining that has a little bit of everything from seafood, to steaks or pasta and it was good! The space is quite large and separate bar area with amazing views as well. We had the Filet Mignon and Jdori Chicken for our main entrée and the crème brule which was quite good.

If you are looking for cocktail options, definitely visit their lobby bar Beau Nash which is also a popular bar amongst Dallas society. If you love bourbon, they have some great bourbon cocktails. Beau Nash is open to non guest and you do not need a reservation either. A part from cocktails, they serve light bites and desserts as well.

Still part of the Crescent Court property there are separate restaurants that you can eat at as well such as Sixty Vines and Capital Grille both of which have indoor and outdoor seating. The food and drinks at Sixty Vines were very good as well. Great pizza!

SHOPPING AT STANLEY KORSHAK

If you are looking for premier luxury shopping then you can head to Stanley Korshak.  It is the largest stand only department store in the country. Stanley Korshak is exclusive to Crescent Court and has everything from men’s and women’s apparel, fragrance, beauty and even a salon. I was was excited to see some French brands like Kiton at Stanley Korshak that we discovered while vacationing in the French Riviera.

They also carry other recognizable brands such as Veronica Beard, Tibi and Ralph Lauren. Stanley Korshak is also known for there Bridal department which is actually a separate store in the Crescent Court.

We thoroughly enjoyed our staycation at Hotel Crescent Court. If you are looking for staycation option or even a daycation, I highly recommend considering the Crescent. You will not be disappointed. Stay tuned for more travel ideas!
