How to Wear Burgundy this Fall Season
Hey fashionistas! Season after season burgundy is must have staple for the fall season! This rich color is in between a red and purple and to me gives a sultry, romantic feel in the fall! I love deeps rich colors such a wine which can be considered in the burgundy family. Earlier this year, Pantone released their fall colors for 2018 and number 10 was PANTONE 19-1536 RED PEAR which is a soft burgundy shade. You may like burgundy but may not know how to wear or style it. I will be sharing a few tips on how to wear burgundy this fall season! Photography credit Luisas Secret!
Burgundy is one of those colors that can look good paired with almost any other color. It works great with white, neutrals, creams, navy and black! For those of you who may be a little shy or new to the color, try adding burgundy in a form of a lace cami. Burgundy lace camis have been popping up left and right! There are so may cute ones to choose from. I personally love lace camis because its gives feminality to your outfit or of a classy sexy look without looking inappropriate. My lace cami actually cami from Vici Dolls which is sold out but that link shows a similar option. Below are some cute camis options that you can look at! To shop my $5 sunnies, click here.
This lace cami from Lulus is the closest to my cami that I am wear apart for the fact that it is not laced at the bottom too. Styling the lace cami with a suede jacket such as the one I am wearing or a blazer can kind of tone down the color if you are unsure on who you feel about burgundy. This is a good way to gradually begin to wear burgundy by adding little subtle pieces into your wardrobe. Baby steps! However I feel burgundy wine color looks great on all skin tones whether you are pale or fair skin toned or darker skin tone.
Another way to wear burgundy this fall is in your bottoms. It is becoming more common to find burgundy color pants and skirts lately. One of my favorite pair of high waisted pants are burgundy. For this look, I styled it with some burgundy striped wide leg pants! The entire pant was not a solid color but I thought the stripes of burgundy mixed in with other colors gives it a nice fall feel vs going with a solid burgundy pair of pants.
The wide leg is so comfortable and styled with the cream colored suede jacket. Another option for burgundy if you want more of a bold looks for a party would be going with a velvet material. I have a post coming up on this velvet trend that you will definitely have to check out! I love this looks which is a bit more dramatic but not over the top either.
