Our hotel we booked was Hotel Weber Ambassador! I specifically chose this hotel because it was located on the other side of the lsland right above Marina Piccola beach and small, quiet but chic beach where many swimsuit shoots have been shot at. Marina Piccola is not a packed as Marina Grande the beach where the ferries come in and full of travelers and more. In 2015 we did a day trip to Capri and Marina Grande is very congested but you should still visit it. Hotel Weber Ambassador also has amazing views of the famous Faraglioni. The beautiful rock formation that resembles Cabo Mexico. A nice perk about this hotel is the shuttle services from the port to the hotel. We were picked up in an air conditioned van and it was about 15 min ride to the hotel. This hotel offers shuttle service to Marina Grande and famous Capri town center which is so nice and saves money on taxis and buses. Shuttles to the center is offered until 2am which was awesome!
The hotel itself is very nice but some dated aspects. Our room was on a lower level though we still needed to take a short elevator ride to our floor. They have very simple rooms to very expensive rooms with balcony and views. We opted to a simple room. We did not have a view or anything particular. It seemed like it was a type of courtyard or alley way. The room was very clean and the AC worked really well too. The room had small desk and a TV and simple décor which was a bit dated. The bathroom size was a bit small but nothing too small. They had all the standard amenities and the shower worked fine too! The way we looked at it,we were mainly there to sleep because you want to be out and about exploring so the décor of the room did not bother us too much. If you want a nice We booked this hotel on a 3rd party website that allows you to book now and pay later and it was 160 Euros per night (2 nights 320 euros plus tax). A little bit pricey for the room we got, but when we factored in the free shuttle service to the center and cheap shuttle service to the port and location and service, it made up for it in my opinion.
Keep in Mind: There is pretty much an upcharge for everything at this hotel! This was my only complaint. If you ask for something and you are watching pennies, always ask if there is an extra charge. Wifi was not free, ordering food from the restaurant and having them deliver to room was an upcharge too.
When we arrived, we ordered bruschetta and pizza near the pool area. The pool had an amazing view of the sea! The bruschetta was one of the best we ever had. The pizza was good but it was the absolute best Italian pizza. They have 3 heated swimming pools which 2 are for adults and the other for children. They have towels for guest at no extra charge and if you want to go down to the beach. they will give you a towel for that as well. Marina Piccola is about a 5 minute walk if that to get down to the beach! This beach is a pebble beach so the hotel provides cushioned mats so that way you are comfortable! We did not have breakfast, but it was 10 euro per person buffet style. We saw the food and it did look good with a mix with American style breakfast and Italian.
Overall, we had a good experience with Hotel Weber! The service was excellent and everyone always treated you very kindly! Most everyone we spoke with knew English and spoke it very well. If we return to Capri, we could see ourselves returning to this hotel again. I saw they made renovations so perhaps things are not so dated.
