How to Wear Sequins in the Fall
“Shine Is My Favorite Color!” ~ Marc Jacobs Yes, I could not agree more with this quote! For people who know me and follow me on social media, I love bling! I don’t like to overdue it, but I love jewelry and pieces that have a nice bit of SPARKLE! This ensemble is definitely right up my alley! One thing about fall fashion that I do not like is the fact that everything seems so dull with the neutral colors and plaid. I LOVE color as you already know and I like to continue to spice up my wardrobe in the fall and winter time as well. From time to time, you need to GLAM UP your fall wardrobe!! And with this top, I was definitely able to do so! Photography credit goes to the amazing photographer Megan Weaver!
This top that I stumbled upon from an online company called Zaful is actually a bodysuit! This floral sequined bodysuit really brought my fall ensemble to life!! I LOVE it so much and received so many compliments on it as well! It comes in this cream/bronze color and a black which I plan on going back to get too! I got a size medium and I need to say it is not the perfect fit. I am tall and my body frame is longer than most. The sequin part stops too short causing the opaque part of the body suit is very noticeable! I did not let that put a damper on my style, but added this belt from Versona to cover it up which really added a nice touch. I feel that if I gotten a large that then the bodysuit maybe too big over all. I really love the bodysuit but, wished the sequins came down a little bit longer. In general, with all body suits I noticed that they do not make the design go further down as I would like.
Deep plums are a fall favorite and I thought that this bodysuit would go well with my highwaist plum skinny jeans from Charlotte Russe which is on sale online for less than $20! You can find it also in-store which is where I bought my pair. Heels I bought from Agaci for less than $25 in store and the belt from Versona was $20 but they are sold out. The earrings I loved and thought it was a perfect touch to the outfit! The square earrings I bought in store at H&M. I was not able to find them online though.
This look is great for a date night, girls night or an event where you want to look and feel FIERCE! I love standing out in the crowd and I don’t like to blend in so this ensemble I will be wearing a lot and mix it up with different bottoms. I tried them on with a black highwaist skirt and it looks amazing! Since the material is light weight, it will also be great for the spring and summer time! So definitely go and add this piece to your closet! You will not be disappointed!
Stay fresh & FIERCELY you!
