Bell Sleeve: Dramatic Tulip Sleeve
I want to go right into the dramatic bell sleeve! It seems like each year the bell of the sleeves gets bigger and bigger and more interesting. One sleeve that I have been eyeing for a few months that I finally bought were the tulip sleeve dresses! As you see from the photo, it looks just like the tulip flower head – wide and flowy. Yes this sleeve are the for those who wants to make a statement – ME! Some people may view it as extreme but I feel because it is a dress it looks really elegant and feminine. I got so many compliments on it while shooting this look. If this was a top, I would definitely say it would be too much. But as a dress or jumpsuit, it is just perfect for that extra oophm! Go through the slider below to see all the different tulip sleeve dresses and jumpsuits. The material is very soft and stretch – kind of foam like but great material. This material is also referred as a scuba material. The white jumpsuit I definitely want to get! it will be cute for a date night look or to where when at an exotic travel location.
Bell Sleeve: Big Sleeve
Now if the tulip sleeve is too dramatic for your liking, then perhaps just a simple big bell sleeve is more your thing. There are many bell sleeve tops out there like sweaters for the fall/winter. With bell sleeves, they look great on ANYTHING! You can rock them with some skinny jeans (my preferred), pencil skirt, leggings or even skirt. The key with the bell sleeve top is to have balance. Because it is statement piece, you don’t want to do two statement pieces in your outfit. So don’t combine a bell sleeve top with some wide leg pants or super flare pants. It would be too much. If you top is a statement, your bottoms cannot be too. You would have too much going on. This is a good rule of thumb for any fashion. If your top shows a bit of skin then don’t pair it with some short shorts or short skirt or some bottoms that is also may be a bit revealing. You have to have balance or else it just does not look classy. Scroll through the slider below for bell sleeve sweaters to rock during the cold months.
Bell Sleeve: The Subtle Sleeve
So if you are new to the bell sleeve trend and you are unsure of yourself and you want to start small, there is a bell sleeve width for that too. Not all bell sleeves are big and dramatic. Subtle bell sleeves you can also find quite easily. This one that I am rocking is actually a bodysuit from Zara! It is absolutely beautiful and comes in a few different prints which you can find here and here just to give a couple of examples. I rocked these with some high waisted pants which I will rock again for spring transition and wear them with boots. A lot of bodysuits you can find in bell sleeves both subtle and dramatic. Scroll through the slider below and see some subtle bell sleeve tops and sweaters.
I hope this gave you some ideas of different styles of bell sleeves to add to your wardrobe. I truly believe this trend will be here for a little while longer! So go and rock these sleeves! Thanks for reading!
